WHAT: Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania’s outdoor adventure headquarters, is pleased to announce the return of its adventure race, Mud on the Mountain, Nov. 3, 2012!
The resort’s inaugural Mud on the Mountain, held May 12, 2012, welcomed more than 2,000 participants from all over the North America. As of Oct. 23, more than 2,250 participants have registered.
The course will remain seven miles in length as it weaves across demanding terrain requiring participants to traverse ponds, scale boulder fields, climb over obstacles and claw up impossible inclines. The fall version of the popular endurance-style event will revive some of the original obstacles, as well as present some new challenges that will maximize the mountain terrain and push the limits of every participant. Existing obstacles will be lengthened, extended, modified and have, of course, a fresh coat or two of mud. Mother Nature may even sprinkle in some snow for an added challenge!
Competitors will start the event in 20-minute intervals, beginning at 8 a.m. Each wave will have a maximum of 200 people. Registration is accepted online at www.mudonthemountain.com and is priced at $80 per person. Registration closes Oct. 28. All participants must be at least 18 years old.
The course map, photos, registration materials and additional information can be found online at www.mudonthemountain.com.
