SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. –Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania’s outdoor adventure headquarters, is pleased to announce the return of its adventure race, Mud on the Mountain, Nov. 3, 2012!

The resort’s inaugural Mud on the Mountain, held May 12, 2012, welcomed more than 2,000 participants from all over the North America.

“At the closing of the May event, our team watched so many smiling muddy faces come off the course raving about the event and wanting more,” said Alex Moser, Director of Marketing. “Bringing back Mud on the Mountain for a late fall event will present a whole new set of challenges and adventure and will require another level of training.”

The course will remain seven miles in length as it weaves across demanding terrain requiring participants to traverse ponds, scale boulder fields, climb over obstacles and claw up impossible inclines. The fall version of the popular endurance-style event will revive some of the original obstacles, as well as present some new challenges that will maximize the mountain terrain and push the limits of every participant. Existing obstacles will be lengthened, extended, modified and have, of course, a fresh coat or two of mud. Mother Nature may even sprinkle in some snow for an added challenge!

Competitors will start the event in 20-minute intervals, beginning at 8 a.m. Each wave will have a maximum of 200 people. Registration is accepted online at www.mudonthemountain.com and is priced at $80 per person. Registration closes Oct. 28. All participants must be at least 18 years old.

Visitor passes will be available at the event for $10 each and allow family members and spectators to travel to the top of the course via the chairlifts.

Competitors who looking for a place to rest their weary bones before and after the event can take advantage of the special Mud on the Mountain lodging offer of $109 per room, per night. Reservations for either package can be made by calling 866-437-1300 or online here.

The course map, photos, registration materials and additional information can be found online at www.mudonthemountain.com.
